Its searchable database of some 25,000 names returns near-perfect as well as perfect matches, encouraging exploration and negating the effects of misspellings. Find out which famous person, living or dead, shares your birthday - the poet Emily Dickinson , pictured, and Kenneth Branagh are among those born on the 10th December. There is also a section called Biographies of the day: on the day I looked, it included those of George W Bush, Al Gore and Gwyneth Paltrow, all considered important enough for articles of several hundred words each.
